Welcome to my blog! I appreciate the visit and hope that you'll check back as I continue to update things. My goal for this blog is to provide travel inspiration, advice, and money saving tips on all types of trips!
Our travel obsession began 2 years ago when my husband decided that he wanted to set a goal to visit all 50 states by 50 years old. Now, keep in mind, this was coming from a man who had never even flown until just a year before at the age of 35. So, the adventures began, and since then, we've taken dozens of trips to check off states! We've began to refer to them as our "crazy road trips" because a lot of the time, the routes are planned around which airport we can fly into for the least amount of SkyMiles, and which ones we can drive to and fly home out of while going through as many states as possible. I also have a goal to see all the National Parks, so we try to lump those in when we are close by. These goal have given us a clear direction to plan our trips around, so we've been able to see a lot and have learned to appreciate all that our great country has to offer!
In addition to our "crazy road trips", we've also been able to see a lot of the country by cruise, particularly Alaska and Hawaii. In fact, our first trip in the quest to visit all 50 states was to fly out to Seattle so that we could board the Norwegian Cruise Line's Bliss and visit Alaska, so we were able to visit two major states in one trip on that one! We do all of this with our two kids, both teenagers, in tow, so they are getting amazing experiences and opening their eyes to all the beauties and quirks of the USA.
